About Dip Shitz - Overview.
"Dip Shitz" is a series of movies that had stunts, skits, falls, fights, tricks, insane drops/stair set gaps, skateboarding, go-pedding, know-pedding, and many other fun and dangerous activies. The first video was created by myself, Tim Silva, during my freshmen year in high school. The people in the videos changed over time and so did the types of video clips in the movies. It was a project that lasted several years that I am finally giving an online presence for. Many people put a lot of work into these videos, and we created many great memories as well.
I am making this website now because the technology is finally here. I can upload videos with decent quality, give features such as full screen, pause, stop, volume control, etc. Plus, ALL of the videos are on here -- full length and uncut. This would not have been possible several years ago. I have Adobe Flash 9 (CS3) to thank for making this website possible. I never thought I would be able to make this work without using YouTube.

Dip Shitz 1.
Dip Shitz started out in 2002 or 2003 during my freshmen year in high school. Troy McCarthy gets the credit for this video starting because he had a camera and a computer that could edit the video. We made a movie called Petaluma Stupid Shits that made me crazy because of how cool I thought it was. It was the first time I had ever seen a video with people I know that had music playing. I eventually got my own camera and started doing some video editing on my computer. It didn't take long for my and my friends to start filming stuff. I made an old version of the first movie that was over 20 minutes long, but the video editing software I was using was terrible, and it would freeze before I could render out a clip, so I moved on and found some new software and started editing from the beginning. I created this whole new version of the movie, and it was finished around the summer of my freshmen year (mid 2003). This movie was pretty much a copy of the CKY movies. Many of the same songs, same stunts, etc. I don't like many parts of this movie, but there are a few that will be timeless classics for me and my friends.
Main Cast: Troy McCarthy, Tim Silva, Mike Jay, Justin Silva, Sean Silva, Andy Patterson, John Mcgarrah, and Jason Rivas.

Dip Shitz 2: Dayz of Know Pedding.
The core of this video was around "Know-Peds" - Go-Peds without the engines. These things are pretty damn robust, and they can go through a lot. This movie steered away from the jackass/CKY concepts and was as far as I know, a very unique and original combination of video clips. The soundtrack is much better than the first movie, and it was also the longest video of the three. We started filming near the middle of my sophomore year in high school (late 2003/early 2004) and finished around the end of summer. I wasn't in the video as much near the end because I got into trouble (arrested!) and was grounded for the majority summer. But, I improved the editing of the entire movie during this time and got some home footage in my backyard as well. Aaron caught most of the clips near the end of the movie on his camera, without his footage Dip Shitz 2 would not have been such an awesome project.
Main Cast: George McCabe, Aaron Akers, Jon Bucci, John Henry, Tim Silva, Eric Younger, David Arvizo, Zack Rhodes, Scott Thorup, Troy McCarthy, Mike Jay, John McGarrah, and Russel Axt.

Dip Shitz 3: The Unfinished Project.
This video started right after Dip Shitz 2 was finished. It was pretty much a continuation of the second movie. However, Aaron, myself, Bucci, and many of the main people of the film started skateboarding much more. Know-Pedding was pretty much over. Half of the group went to different schools, and the original cast, excluding myself, were rarely in the movie anymore for many reasons. Eventually, the project started to die off and the clips didn't keep coming in. Aaron started his own videos which were purely skateboarding, but Dip Shitz was officially no longer in development. I created various videos that used clips from the movies as well as some new content for other purposes such as Spiked Humor, school, the KrazyTim.tk website, and other stuff. You can watch any extra in the convenient extras section. This video had the most potential, but after unfortunate events within the groups, it simply did not last. There were a few attempts later on to bring the movie back, but they all failed.

Final Words.
Dip Shitz was a great project and it not only got me into computers because of the editing software, but we created some incredible memories. The main reason I wanted to create this website was because I wanted to give closure to the project and give it the proper online presence that it deserves. The group all split up, even though I talk to pretty much everyone who was involved from time to time, but everyone definitely went different ways. Some are in college, some in bushes, and some have nothing better to do than make a website about their adolescence...
There are lots of good memories in these videos, many I often forget about. The amazing thing about being able to record video is that you can always go back to easier times and remember things that you would otherwise complete forget existed. Every time I watch these movies it is a total treat, and I love not remembering editing some of the parts, even though I know I spend a good view hours working on it. Hopefully others can get out of these videos what I did. We were young, stupid, proud, stupider, and then more proud. And it was all on video with music added to it. Good times. Great memories. Therefore, a website must be made in its honor. Be sure to leave comments about the videos!
